Gentlemen,
I would like to have a set of headers installed on my 2013 Raptor. Can anyone recommend a shop for the install in the Southeast Connecticut area?
Thanks...Mike

did you ever find a shop to do this? Im in RI and I have s et of headers waiting to go in. Ill probably do the work myself but im interested to see how the truck is with inspections.

did your headers throw any codes?

if so what did/are you going to do to cure that?

Tasca Ford in Cranston is where you want to go!
I and others have had their Superchargers and Tunes and major mods done there.

Installing headers you will need a Tune and O2 extenders to pass inspection and not throw codes.

I get all my parts from them, never even thought to bring the truck there for tuning. is there a performance center at the dealer? Im going to install the headers myself im just very worried that it will all be for nothing if I cant get the CEL off.

ive heard 02 extenders are hit or miss, did tasca do your tuning?

The O2 extenders work, the problem is the cats.
The stock cats are the best, second would be green cats. High flow cats are where the problem exists with O2 extenders.
The high flow cats do not have enough material and are made with cheap stuff.

The CEL is the least of the issue, having the safety of O2 sensors working is key to longevity of your truck.
Not to mention being able to pass state inspection with O2s on.

And yes, Tuning was done by one of Tasca's Racing team members.
He has received a major promotion and now it's tough to get a hold of him during race season,
well actually anytime since he travels a lot now.
You can ask for Dennis that Tunes Raptors at the parts counter.

Tasca has a Mod Shop there.

ill have to look into it, I have 130k on the truck so im not sure having the stock cats welded back in is a great idea, ill either get some low mileage OEM ones or the kooks. just need them for the tuning portion of the job so we shall see. Ill keep this updated with info as I get it

Yup, Kooks Green Cats are ok, but see what tascaparts can do for you on price.
Having use ones is iffy especially if your going pay to have them welded on.
The honeycomb material inside can get damaged if dropped hard enough or abused.
