Looking into this bumper, but live by the ocean...

Question is, will it rust? Everything starts to pit or oxidize quickly here.

2014 Raptor, factory fenders, mid perch.

SVC is in Laguna Niguel so they're pretty close themselves. I've had mine through 4 Tahoe winters and still rust free.

apply amzoil HP Metal protector on a cloth and wipe the bumper with it. get a good coat, it wouls save you a lot aggravation down the road. and use it on the rest of the truck, frame, etc

I’m in the process of installing the smurf bumper, but I couldn’t find any measurements on where to cut the frame horns. The only video that found was from RPG for the race line bumper.
In the video they give you 3 measurements on where to cut and I’m wondering if it’s the same for the SVC bumper. Do you guys have any info or tips on how to install?

Heres one for ya. If you have a set of aftermarket, rigids in the pockets, what are you doing with your lights and wiring? I love the bumper, but don't want to lose the aux lighting.

you can add a protective hoop, tabs and lights to the main tube.

Give SVC a call. they do this mod to the smurf bumper all the time.

as far as what finishes hold up, the SVC bumpers are powercoated and will hold up just fine. I modified mine 4 or 5 times throughout all the iterations of my truck. I now have it line-xed and it doesnt show any wear even after quite a few desert miles and catus murders.

Fyi, that hole in the pic is where the bolt is going into. So make sure you cut in front of that hole and not in it.
4" from aft-end of the frame horns.
2" up from the bottom and 45 degree cut.
