Mine froze this winter (Wyoming). The fix was the a little can of deicer that I use for the occasional frozen lock. Works fast. FYI, my mirrors also froze. Gotta love Wyoming winters...LOL!

Like everyone, I too received a notice on my app regarding door latch freeze, 19N06. Until I googled it, I had no idea this problem existed. Like many, I do not want my door taken apart for something that Ford still doesn't have a permanent fix. Just hate that annoying "attention" notice on the app.

FYI, recently called a dealer and they told me the same, wait until you experience freezing door before coming in for repair.

this is in the gen 1 section..... is it for the gen 2s? i was figuring it was another door lock stuck thread but the mention of freezing temps means something other than stuck locks
Since this is in the Gen 1 section, I can ask. Can you point me at any of these threads you mention? My driver's side rear door just did this and then magically fixed itself. I'd like to read about the issue. I'm searching around with little luck other than finding THIS thread.

Thanks!

Any particular de-icer brand you recommend? Can you get it in the latch if the door is frozen shut?

Any lock de-icer will work (I purchased mine at Advanced Auto). The de-icer I have came with a spray tube, so yes, you can spray into the latch.

Hope this helps.
