I got a full race cai for basically free and installed it.

I was fine driving around yesterday but today I popped a check engine light, I didn’t pull the code yet but I’m guessing it’s from that.

Anyone else getting one from this intake? I was under the impression it would be fine without a tune on a 2019.

Have one on mine and did not have any issues before the tune.
Pull the code it could be anything especially the IAT that may have gotten damaged in the install

i pulled the silencer rings when installing my full race unit. have had a CEL come on 2x for that unit in maybe 1500 miles. the CEL goes out by itself though, so that is interesting

but as mentioned, make sure the code is specific to that mod. the common code is “P04DB, crankcase vent disconnected”.

The CEL was P04DB, crank case ventilation.

I reset it, I’ll see if it comes back. From some quick reading it’s a intake related code

yeah, it might come back. AFE intakes include some type of tube that goes into one of the OEM lines that apparently restricts or modifies airflow to prevent the CEL

If you end up needing to tune I can help. I use the COBB Accessport if you're interested.

If it comes back on I’ll order that AFE part. I’m not really trying to tune it any time soon, I don’t want to deal with warranty issues if I get the cam phaser issue. Only 2200 miles right now
