Has anyone run 100 octain super premium yet? We have a sinoco station near our local racetrack that sells 100 octane at one pump, has any tried it in their gen2?
I love 93. I've tried 100 in my supersnake cant tell much it's sounding a little meaner but only drive that every month or so, my daily is 2019 raptor with every option you can get but the decals

While the stock Raptor programming adjusts some ignition timing based on knock activity, there are limits. Running 100 octane would probably be a big waste. The computer is not going to add much more (if any) timing on 100 octane than it would with 93 octane. With tuning, of course you could see some big gains. Depending on if the 100 octane fuel is oxygenated or not, it could actually run worse. Oxygenated fuels can change the stoich point quite a bit from the standard 14.1 for E10. All fords are factory tuned for 14.1 stoich point to account for the ethanol in most pump gas. If you're considering anything, look into getting a tune for E85. Higher octane and much cheaper. You don't hear too much about guys doing this on the raptor platform, but turbo engines love it. Of course, a lot more fuel is required when running E85 - injectors and fuel pump. I never looked into it on this platform. So I'm not sure what all would be required.

I have run 100 in mine a couple of times, just because I was at the track and was on empty. Didn't really notice a difference in power just slightly better MPG on the way home. Mine is tuned for 93 Octane as well. Normally I run 93, pure gasoline, no ethanol. We re lucky to have a station near where I live that has zero ethanol content gas. All my vehicles seem to love it.

To run e85 you will need to beef up the fuel system to keep up with demand

Are you saying the truck is set from the factory to run bettor with 10 percent ethenol fuel than fuel with no ethenol?

Sorry. Been drinking.

42!? I believe you but....wow....that is a lot for a measly 2 octane. Do you know the source reference for that number? I need to find a new gas station with higher octane.

What is the difference (horsepower) between running 91 octane and 93 octane in the truck?

it is enough that I make sure that I have a full tank of 93 before I head west. It makes for a full-power fun first day on Baja runs.

It is a big enough difference that I'm planning to put an underdeck 100-gallon tank on my trailer so I can bring 93 with me out west.

I have a 98 octane tune for my truck. without the tune, the motor runs cooler and puts down more power low in the rpm range. With the tune, the 98 is good for what feels like another 50 hp over my 93 tunes. I have only used it twice for messing around. I wouldn't run it in the dirt on a run as it is a little too wild when the boost comes in. no, I haven't dynoed it.

In all reality, the turbos run out of gas before anything else. I'm not certain whether I'm going to stroke my current motor, or go V8, so I haven't put any money into turbos or motor yet ( beyond bolt-ons and a little polishing work on the heads. ( I had them off for a head gasket)
