Hi everyone. I just got my 2019 Raptor a few weeks ago and thinking of doing my first oil change at 1500. I've always used Mobile-1 and K&N filters in all my vehicles with great results so I'm going to continue doing the same with the Raptor .. problem is K&N doesn't call out an oil filter for the 2019 the HP-2011 says it's only good up to 2018. I'm thinking this is the same engine so it will work. Is there any 2019 Raptor owners out there that have used the HP-2011? Just want to confirm before I buy. I did call K&N and they told me they haven't completed testing on the 2019 so that's why they only go up to 2018. I'm thinking that's a bunch of bull and they just haven't updated their documentation yet.

There is nothing wrong or inadequate with the Motorcraft oil filter, and Ford’s OE oil is a synthetic blend that’s pretty good too. I really like Mobil 1 and K&N filters (I use both on my Bronco and Mobile 1 in my diesel with a factory filter) but why screw with it while the truck is under warranty? I always pay for dealer maintenance while the vehicle is under warranty so if I have a problem later there is no question on the vehicle being serviced correctly.

I hear you .. I did check with my dealer and they said no problem with Mobile-1, K&N and doing the oil changes myself as long as I keep records and receipts which isn't a problem. I'm sure if you did 3k oil changes with any oil or filter you probably wouldn't have any issues and go well over 100k miles .. I just prefer the K&N filters and Mobile-1 which has done right by me on every vehicle I've owned.

I have a 2018 but 100k extended warranty & I use K&N oil filters because they’re easy to remove & good quality - I saw that chart & the K&N they’re comparing to the motorcraft & I don’t see anything to really be concerned about - also that’s not the same K&N that our raptors call for- the hp 2011 & that does have a silicone gasket. I believe I read that it filters out much finer particles than the motorcraft is rated for.

Either way- wix, Fram, Bosch motorcraft doesn’t matter dealer can’t void warranty for using a different fluid or filter as long as it’s rated correctly & made to the vehicles specs.

Wix is a great filter, most of Frams are terrible but I think they've one maybe two decent ones.

Ford also has an OE full synthetic. People don't seem to know that

I haven't used one, but I like the idea of having a nut on the end of the K&N filter. The OEM one can be a pain to get off.
