Just curious if there is a general preference one way or the other. I assume Gen2 owners can certainly afford to spend some extra $$ to lift and add bigger tires, if desired. I prefer stock. I put on decent miles, about 30k/year, and absolutely love the ride and comfort, stock. Like no other vehicle I have driven, the list is long and varied.

I don't think I would ever lift mine, or even put bigger/wider rims/tires on. I do really like the way the 20" rims look in some of the posts here. Alas, there are no C load rated tires other than the stock Bfg's in any size close to stock, as far as I know. I tried some E rated Continentals (street tread) in the stock size, the ride was horrendous. I had to air down to low 20's to get the ride comfort of the stock BFG's at mid 30's. They came off the truck after a month.

I know some people have said it rides the same with 20's or stock 17's, leveled in front, etc. I have a hard time buying that.

Change my mind. :)

To each their own. Lifted look good imo, but lose functionality. I prefer wider fenders to accommodate bigger tires & still retain 100% functionality of the truck’s performance. Many buy Raptors because they like them & don’t use them for what they were designed for... so there’s nothing wrong with lifting it for looks IMO. It’s your money.

What’s it cost to do a lift? Front fenders done right is about $3k I got quoted, while rear fenders are about $4k or so. The lift installed I’d imagine has to be $1500 to $2k?

I have no intention of lifting. Mine is a DD, so I don't want to make the truck more difficult to park in garages. I also don't see any advantages to lifting in terms of my enjoyment of the ride, or performance in how I drive it.

I also disagree with the premise that anyone who can afford a Raptor can afford to lift it and do the mods they want on it. We all have different budgets and there are surely many owners who spend their entire budget, maybe more just to get the truck itself. There are certainly owners who can do whatever they want regardless of cost, but far from all of us.

I personally hate the raked OEM setup and like lifted trucks. All my previous 4x4's have been lifted, but on a Raptor, it just doesn't look right and ruins the Baja proven
performance that Ford built into the Raptor to begin with. HOWEVER, since I hated the rake, I leveled mine and would not have it any other way........the ride is excellent,
even better than the wife's Yukon 4x4 Denali.....and performed like a champ in Moab!

Just do mid Perch setting. It's what the was originally designed for. DOT didn't like the bumper height that's why another groove was added to front shocks to lower front end. I went to mid Perch setting on mine and it handles SO Much better. All you need to do. Everything else is Stock
