Hey guys, I’m new on the forum but I’ve been having a radio issue on my 2010. The radio turns on but doesn’t put any sound through the speakers and it also freezes and a buttons don’t work to switch modes unless I turn it off then back on after pushing a button. Also when I try to go into serious radio it says the antenna can’t be found as well as not stopping on known FM and AM channels on the standard radio. Will run a CD but again, no audio. I’ve tried some trouble shooting but nothing’s really working. Any help and advice would be amazing.

I just replaced my amp a couple of months ago. Stopped truck to fuel up,stereo working and when I started it up after fueling no stereo. Alk the buttons functioned as normal just no sound. The sound scale would go up and down on the display and everything worked as normal

Not sure if this will be helpful to you, but I upgraded the amp in my 2013 with the Sony system using the JL Audio CleanSweep CL441 as the interface between the factory amp and the new system. Everything worked great, but occasionally I'd start the truck and have the same symptoms you described: No audio but everything else seemed to be working. Restarting the truck would fix the problem. Once when it happened I left the truck running and got out the o-scope to verify that there was no audio signal coming out of the factory amp. I settled on the theory that the factory amp was detecting an open circuit on the speaker outputs which were just connected to the CleanSweep and putting the amp into some kind of safe shutdown mode. I have no idea if that is an actual feature of this design (but many class D amplifiers will detect that condition and I assume that is what is in the factory unit given the cost and power benefits), but after putting 10 ohm 20W resistors across the factory amp speaker outputs (the ones connected to the CleanSweep) to ensure the amp always saw a reasonable load I never had this problem again (happened about once or twice a month and then after the fix never happened again and it's been 5 years). I mounted the resistors to a large aluminum heat sink to dissipate the heat.
