is it just me, or does anyone else in CA have to hold the fuel pump nozzle (putting tension down on the nozzle) to prevent it from popping out and disengaging the fuel trigger lock? This means you need to stand and monitor the pump for all 30 gallons, which means you can’t wash windows, check oil or hit the Restroom! I searched and found lots about the capless design causing pumps to get stuck etc, but nothing on this specific issue.

I have to every time - another CALI EPA issue.

Welcome to the state that feels obligated to "nanny" you from birth to grave - if you survive not being aborted or euthanized.

No problem here is south Texas. I have had one issue at a chevron station where the nozzle would not unlock the flap. I had to use the plastic thingy under the back seat to fill up. Now I just avoid that station.
