After doing some serious offroading last weekend, I've decided to install some Bump Stops.

I do have a couple of questions:

1. What bump stops is everyone using?

2. Who sells the bump stops with the mounts?

3. Who do you have weld the mounts?

Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is the setup I'm looking at....

It's a bolt on package, and supposed to be pretty good. Also, my research says to avoid anything from Rouge Racing. Lots of guys around here are really mad at them..

Thanks for all of the replys.

Ok, this might be a stupid question, but I've learned not to assume anything. Does this "system" include the bumper stops or are you just paying for the mounts?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

You go on that link, pick out the bumps you want, Fox or King, and the total runs to $1700. Thing to remember is that it's a reinforcement for the rear frame as well as a bump mount. Looks like a really well engineered system as the rear frame is a weak spot on these trucks. Make sure you get the right one (Gen1 or Gen2)...

it is a bolt-on frame that goes from frame rail to frame rail and has adjustable height bump can mounts.

The actual hydraulic bump stop goes into this height-adjustable mount.

Some folks have had issues with the IFP fox bumps. I'd recommend going with the traditional king or fox bumps. The pressure can be adjusted to your liking via purging or filling with nitrogen.

I like the SVC kit as if I wasn't able to get the bump can in its highest position, I'd be robbing an extra inch of up travel from my truck. (everyone else's bump frames are fixed position).

I am emphatically happy with the SVC product. I've used all but the last 1/4" of bump travel on my truck.

No issues at all with the SVC bump mounts or with the king bump stops.

It's always easier to spend someone else's money, but you may want to consider throwing on a set of Deaver or Icon leaf springs while you're at it. I know SVC and RPG have packages which include the bump stop kit and springs at a discounted price.

EDIT - It's always good to check with forum vendors as well for additional discounts. :)
