With the recent purchase, I need to book my trip out to Utah to take advantage of the Raptor Assault program.

Couple of questions...

1) Why doesn't Ford / the dealerships talk about this during the purchase process (at least mine didn't)?

2) When is the best time (Month) to ideally attend the program?

3) For those that have attended, what were your thoughts on the program (i.e. things you liked / didn't like, what would you change, etc.)?

Salesmen are not the brightest crayons in the box. many are just people who can't hold a real job and bounce from dealer to dealer, never really getting any true brand awareness. Some are brand new and stuck out on the lot to greet people.

How many times have you bought a car where you felt like you were the one educating your slaesman?

2) When is the best time (Month) to ideally attend the program?

Late spring. Early fall. Avoid ass hot summer months, and avoid possible snow that could limit trails available to ride.

3) For those that have attended, what were your thoughts on the program (i.e. things you liked / didn't like, what would you change, etc.)?

I enjoyed it a bunch. This is my first truck ever, and my first experience with "off roading". I thought i knew a lot, but this really opened my eyes. Again, from a noobs point of view.

Also.......this is not an event that’s put on by Ford, it’s a private firm that buys the raptors themselves (about 900k worth...2019 models now) Ford does provide the instructors their vehicles...noted by the Michigan license plates, otherwise they all have Utah registrations.
If not for the people here on the forums, I don’t think I would have even known about the Raptor assault program, the dealer didn’t ever mention it.
I’m just glad they give you a year to be able to attend.
It was fun and informative.

Just got back from Utah. Class was awesome learned even more about my 19. I think everyone will get something out of Raptor School. Ask lots of questions. They really know these trucks.

If you are new to the dirt I would definitely recommend the course. The course's name is deceptive. It should be called Raptor warranty abatement training. You will learn what all the buttons do and if you heed the instructors you will never break your truck. I believe that Ford, who pays for the course and designed the curriculum did so to limit the stupid things that Raptor owners do and to mitigate the flood of warranty claims caused by Ya-Hoo stock Trophy Truck drivers. There is almost no driver critique and you will never break 35 mph. Sorry my picture is of my Gen 1, I now have a 2018 SCAB which is how I ended up in Utah for the course. If you are an experienced off-roader with thousands of dirt miles and you didn't ride the small bus, your time would be better spent reading the manual and taking a long weekend trip.

Not sure most don’t know about it I had to ask mine about it

I went in October was a perfect time of year to go

Excellent course loved every minute of it I meant another owner that first day and we were paired the next day together for the in-car and have continued to remain friends and have spent time together and met each other’s families since the course (he lives in California and I live in Ontario Canada 4hrs from Toronto)

speaking as a noob, the raptor class was a great introduction to the truck (really just the distinctions between the offroad settings) and how far you can go in terms of not getting into trouble climbing a steep hill or getting sidewise before flipping the truck - stuff I use now on the weekends. They even let you jump the truck (a little bit) which gets that itch out in a safe space. The dealer didnt know about it, though it is reportedly a pet project of Ford from a marketing point of view. Baja Jones pegged it about right.

I went the first weekend it was offered this year. There was snow on the ground, but it was melting. It was awesome. They did not limit any trails, and we got to watch a bunch of people get stuck.
And now I get to go again since I bought another one. This time I'm going to try and score a weekend with the Mustangs.
