I have seen this topic kicked around some, but really no real answer. The truck will not be a baja truck (I live in Louisiana) & is purely to commute in comfort & style. I had a Gen 1 Raptor when they came out & always wanted to give it more of an aggressive widebody look, but never got around to it.

What is an adequate approach to filling a slightly aggressive widebody fender such as the ADV fenders mentioned in the title? I'm not a fan of huge wheel spacers (5 mm is fine), so I was seeing what would be needed to properly fill the fenders, if anything. I have yet to see a picture of a stock suspension Gen 2 Raptor with these fenders on them. Would any changes to the suspension be needed at all to fill these fenders, or could I simply just get an aftermarket wheel to do this? I may do serious suspension upgrades in the future, but I am looking to install fenders, bumpers, & wheels as my first round of mods with minimal suspension mods such as leveling it out.

I'd appreciate any feedback on this & if there are any pictures of THESE FENDERS or fenders of similar proportions & not the Deberti style fenders that are much more exaggerated in flare & rise, I'd love to see. I'm trying to get this right on my first go around & the stock Raptor suspension is more than I'd ever need tbh. I do not want to over-stress components though & "band aid" issues. I'm not really interested in a long or mid travel kit, so hopefully that's not needed. Thank you.

If you want a little more functionality, and a little bit better looks, +2 fenders ( I personally like the SDHQ bits) and bedsides are the ticket. With an easy upgrade to Factory series 3.0s and some upper arms, coupled with some 0/0 wheels will put your stance perfect and is about as far as I'd go with a Gen2 if I had it to do over.

Trucks set up as I describe plus some deavers and a rear bump stop kit have been on both EXO runs that I've been on. The trucks do everything the built trucks do, just at a slower speed.

I would like to mention that I havent seen an unhappy "close to stock" raptor driver on any of the runs.

Plenty of built trucks have ended up on the trailer for some or all of the trips though.

This is the input I was looking for. Would you recommend any particular upper arm? Also, is there anyway to get the stock shocks to work with that setup? I was looking to just put eibach or geiser springs on them for leveling.

I'm in the process of doing this

Full adv fenders
Eibach springs
+3 deavers
SVC bumpstop
Track bars

Adv suggest -20 offset wheels to sit flush

I'm thinking -44 offset (black rhino raze) to make it more agressive.. but man driving in the city and parking is gonna something else LoL

I'm contemplating on icon delta and tie rods SVC but not sure if it's needed or not..

svc makes nice arms, icon makes nice arms, camburg makes nice arms.

You could use stock shocks if you're just going for looks. ( collars or replacement springs).

I would not recommend really flogging the truck with stock shocks, as I feel like there would be a good chance of overheating the shocks with the bigger, heavy tires, etc etc.

I don't really understand the point of Fenders/bigger tires if youre going to stay on stock shocks. Like you said Zombie it seems like you would just overheat the stock shocks as they are not built to handle that weight and load. Unless you're just doing it for looks it seems there are much better things to spend 3k+ on. Though I do get the draw. I can't wait for the day where I build my truck enough to need wider fenders. They definitely look really tough.

I just got my truck back after getting the Advanced fiberglass fenders and bedsides put on. The shop can't get them to fit right, said the molds are bad, especially the drivers fender. Nothing lines up at all so im taking it to another shop to see if they have more luck with fitment. I would avoid ADV and go Boatec based on what im seeing.

Edit: I am running 37" Nitto RG's on +01mm offset wheels and can confirm that a neg offset is needed. Have Geisers up front and Deavers +3.
