ok...

So I own this one. I was changing out my px3 tablet radio for a px6 tablet radio. Fooling around I decided to pull apart the dash again...

And I broke my own rule and plugged in connectors for HVAC, sync 3, and the three dash buttons for camera and hazards etc... with the ignition turned on and the battery terminals connected

Why? I foolishly didn’t want to get overheated in the summer sun. So I had the fan running.

I have about 10 OBD2 codes and half of them are unrelated. Hvac module code, improper bodycontrolmodule communication code, some brake codes, etc.

I don’t think it’s a fuse... I don’t see anything obviously popped.

So what did I short? Any ideas? I have a feeling it’s the body control module...

there is a dash control module under the glove compartment on the inside of the lower dash plastics.

Unplug it with the truck off, try hitting the start button ( nothing will display on the dash or radio).

Plug it back in and start the truck.

This should clear your codes.

The computer that I'm speaking of controls all of the dash functions.

Maybe.

I gave up and towed it to the dealer. I really don’t like the dealership.... but my usual guy is going to hit a dead end if he has to program a fried pcm or bcm

It’s acting like a fuse. I just don’t have the time to go thru them all and trouble shoot it further. I towed it to the dealer. I’ll let them spend the time.

I’ll let you all know what it is

Fuse 13, bcm. It’s a 17. If I’m not mistaken the fuse box layout changed for 18+
