so got my preloved 2018 Raptor with 11k miles, everything looks new, but the steering wheel had some scratches and also the wires were showing thru the leather from the heating element.

took it to local ford dealer, they approved the warranty for new steering wheel.

so now i have a brand sparking new steering wheel!

Just wanted to share my story.

I was just wondering about this actually...

The red on my steering wheel has some weird wear on it which is definitely premature. It is on the inside of the wheel (the side facing away from the steering wheel) and started showing up at about 5k miles. Its like the outer layer flaked off and it seems to collect dirt.

I'll have to ask at my next oil change.
