Traded my paid off 60k 14 scab for an 18 screw last year and now im going back to a 147k 13 screw.

Would you mind giving a little more insight as to the swap back? I am a die hard Gen1 fan truck has been awesome but I like hearing other's thoughts.

It was originally due to me buying a house and relocating to hawaii and not wanting a black 70k truck sitting in the sun at my home in cali, but I am still pleased with the switch even after deciding to stay in cali full time.

26k for the fully loaded silver 147k mile 13' and all it needs is the shocks rebuilt. I changed all the fluids and was happy to see them very fresh.

Didn't like lane stay assist or cruise control braking on the gen 2
HATED the transmission and power curve
really only enjoyed the massive sunroof over the gen 1

Still debating on throwing gen 2 shocks in or just doing a rebuild at forged Offroad nearby
Otherwise I'm very happy with my tough-as-nails gen 1 with a predictably dependable drivetrain

Change the fluids on a Gen 1 and there is a high probability that it will last a long time. Ford did a great job on the Gen 1 powertrain—to some peoples dismay.

This is why I am not trading in my paid for Gen 1 because you would be hard pressed to find another truck that can handle that many miles on a stock powertrain.

@JefeAZ thanks for the share.

Roughly four months ago I purchased a 2011 super crew with 124,700 or so miles on it. I ended up paying 24k out the door since it was “as is.”
I probably have spent 2,500 on repairs that I did myself. Gen 2 shocks, brakes and ball joints. I love the truck!
I use to own a 2010 back in 2012 and made the mistake of selling it. Buying this one put me back in a Gen 1 Raptor without breaking the bank.
