Howdy Folks. I know there are probably not many of you pushing your trucks to the point that the factory seats aren't optimal any longer, but...

After my last run, my driver's seat has compressed foam and the springs are poking me in the nuts.

My lower back/kidneys took quite a beating too.

I'm looking to replace the seats in my truck with something aftermarket ( thinking shell seats) but here's the catch, I'm not really interested in caging the truck. I'll be using schroth harnesses in the dirt and the factory 3 points on pavement.

I know i'll need to get airbag resistors in order to not have an SRS idiot light on the dash.

Anyone have a recommendation? I've looked at sparco and prp.

I run the truck pretty hard and like a higher seating position in order to be able to see over the hood.

thanks in advance for any guidance.

air ride from a pete? Small 12 volt compressor. Or from a JD . Air ride again. Some offroad equipment built for rough ground will have a seat

I've had PRP's and other suspension seats, in a crawler. They're nice, but not what I would call extremely comfortable and not adjustable. There is no way I would voluntarily put them in a truck I planned to spend more than a few hours at a time in.

If you are running that hard you do not want a suspension seat. You absolutely want a shell seat. Personally I'd put Sparco's in it like you mentioned.

I'm looking at the PRP alpha composite, which is a shell seat as well. I like my back, so I'm not keen on putting suspension seats back into the truck.
