What does this piece do?

Hey all,

I've had this little plastic piece sitting in my center consul since I bought my used 2017 about a year ago and have no idea what it is. Is it a tool, is it part of something I need? Figured this would be the best place to ask the question!

A little more info that you can't get from the photo: it's plastic, feels hollow. The part that kind of looks like a hex wrench is soft foam so although it's shaped like a hex, it wouldn't do much and could just as easily fit over something circular. It looks like there's holes for a speaker or microphone but it doesn't seem like there's anything on the inside.

It clips on to the post of your headrest to give you a hanger on the back of your seat. Not too sure why you would want it, but that's what it appears to be.
