Sounds good, no problem! Looking forward to seeing the picture. Make sure your installer has the right alignment specs for the Eibachs.

Yes, I got them from one of your posts. They have never done Eibachs or Geisers so I want to make sure I give them all necessary information.

Just got home from having eibachs and Icon setting 1 installed on my 2019. I measured 7.5 wheel gap up front and ended with 9.2. Got exactly 1.7 as advertised. The rear went from 9.5 to 10.7 so just a little over the 1 inch advertised.

To be honest the suspension was real soft and drove so nice but now it is a little stiffer. I did not really want to lift it as I like it the way it was but went with bigger tires and need the lift in the front. I wanted to use spring rather than collers so had to do the rear too so it is not nose high.

If I could do it over I would have just kept stock sized tires and kept the suspension stock. Would have just changed the wheels

Maybe the springs and leafs will soften up a bit after some miles.

Can I ask why you did the Icon in the rear? If you would have just left the Springs in the front, based on your measurements, you would have been basically level.

I’m sure there is a reason, but as I’m traveling down this road myself as well, I’m just trying to learn so I make the right decision.

I’ve got Eibachs but I haven’t had them installed yet, since I really dont think I will end up going the 37” tire route.

FYI Having the same fender gap front and rear is not a true level truck. It will be slightly front end high.

That’s interesting that you don’t like the ride. I really prefer the slightly stiffer ride with my Eibachs and Deavers. The truck drives much more planted IMO. I thought the stock ride was way too squishy with too much body roll and nose dive. The stock leaf springs and block just suck when you’re on the gas over bumps, and they also sag out over time if you haul or tow anything.

Yea, I think his would have been 9.2 Front vs 9.5 Rear. Which, I think, would make it close to level, right?

Yea, I know all the road spots in town that make me feel like my back end is coming all the way loose. So I wouldn't mind the stiffer ride, to a certain extent.

It’s not just being a little stiffer that helps the rear end so much, it’s taking out the stupid 2” block and nearly flat leaf spring that causes wheel hop and axle wrap, and replacing with a full arch spring.

I did the Deaver +3 in order to get the inch lift to level the truck, but if I hadn’t put on the Eibachs I still would have replaced the junk stock leafs with the Deaver +2 just to get rid of the block.

I hope I did not come off too negative. I absolutely love this truck. I traded in a 2015 f150 which was a great truck. I leveled it and put on bigger tires. It looked really good.

The Raptor has a different purpose. I liked the low and wide look as it is purposeful. I try to only do modifications that add to performance and not for looks etc. The suspension on the Raptor was so plush it really caught me off guard. Normally I would probably not like it but on the Raptor it felt right. It felt like it was really soft to allow the truck to react more to the terrain while off-road like a Baja truck which is what it is designed to be. A lot of people say it is too soft and the Icon is better. I only know enough to be dangerous but wonder why Ford would put such soft suspension on the their flagship truck. It could not be about cost as they put on the very expensive live fox shocks etc. it would not cost more to have stiffer springs so it leads me to believe that it was specifically designed to be softer.

It is still softer than my 2015 F150 and not uncomfortable at all but I wonder if I hurt its performance. I also feel a little guilty for raising the height.

The reason I went with the Icon leafs .... I ordered 325/60 R20 grapplers and needed to raise the front to fit them. I wanted to use springs over collers as it should ride better this way. You are right that I would have been perfectly level but I wanted to have a little rake. I like the look of a little rake and often have my quad or motorcycle in it and would not want to be nose high and having my headlight blinding people at night. I also read that it rode so much better and liked the idea of getting rid of the block on the stock springs.

We will see if they loosen up a bit. I think I may feel better about the added height once I get the new wheels and tires on to fill some of the gap.

How many miles since the install? I’ve heard it takes a bit to break in the springs front and rear.
