This sucks. My truck hesitates/delays to start after sitting for 6 to 8 hours. Sometimes it stalls out seconds after starting. Almost like it's losing fuel pressure after sitting. If you start it then shut it off and then start it again it's fine. It's driving me crazy. I just found out and read about the fuse 27 issue.

I just poured through the fuse 27 thread here and didn't see my exact symptoms. Mainly people experienced the truck just not starting or it died while driving. Has anyone experienced hard starting first start of the day and had it be the fuse 27 issue? I'm doing the relocation tomorrow regardless and was just wondering. The fuse looks ok, but looks can be deceiving.

I replaced the canister purge valve, cleaned and tested my PCV valve, cleaned my air filter, cleaned my MAF sensor and it has a new battery. It's definitely something fuel related and I'm just trying to avoid throwing parts at a problem unnecessarily. Considering the truck has a Whipple installed, I'm hoping the it's the 27 fuse since the pump is working that much harder and drawing more current.

Pull it and look. If it looks fine, it is fine.

You need to datalog to figure out what is going on.

Doesn't sound like Fuse 27 symptoms. My first thought - my Jeep was acting in a similar manner, and it was my O2 sensors. It did eventually start throwing codes, but initially the symptom was occuring with no codes. Behaves fine now with new O2 sensors.

The fuse for the fuel pump either works or it doesn't. Have you checked it for scoring? The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank and uses fuel to keep it from overheating. Get in the practice of filling up when you get to half empty. It keeps your fuel pump nice and cool and doesn't hit your wallet as much! You may want to run a can of fuel injector cleaning thru your tank. The superchargers are fuel pressure sensitive. I regularly use a bottle of Lucas upper cylinder lubricant and injector cleaner on fill ups - it keeps my engine purring like a kitten until it's time to roar! Also, if you are not running a catch can on your PCV line - get one.

Don't these trucks still use a Fuel Pump Driver Module? Sounds just like one going bad. Pretty cheap and easy fix. Normally located above the spare tire.
Good call @Sozzy12 ; @MrFord626 google "FPDM", there's some threads on F150 forums about them, could just be the connector, could be the box itself, both prone to corrosion/failure...
