Do any of you remember getting an "extra" part in their kit? There was one in my box that the instructions do not indicate it even exists. Here's what I got...

I have the older short hose jlt can but not that part. I’ve also seen the newer cans and the only difference from mine is the longer hoses. Have no idea what that is!Is it rubber or plastic? That looks like a cycle handle bar grip that someone cut the end off and turned it back on itself.

Just a bit freaked out to have "extra parts", that generally stopped happening once I started reading the destructions.

Not needed for a 6.2 installation. FYI - you need to check the level in the catch can about every 2k miles. I waited to 3k and it was close to the top! It does it's job - cleaned up residue in exhaust and no more blue smoke when the engine starts. The engine runs better as well.
