I was about 100 miles from home and stranded at a rest stop. Ford roadside came and hauled it away and my awesome daughter brought my old truck up and dropped it off...saving the dirtbike weekend for me and the boys

Damn that sucks man. Good to see you had backup. Interested to hear the year and mileage of you truck. Also, any issues previously with it?

Its one of the first 2017's. There was a delay in delivery back them because of new 10spd trans problems. This one has 25,000 miles on it but never towed anything before so the trans issues were probably just waiting to happen.

I literally bought the truck 1 day before this happened. I guess having factory warrenty is the only thing making me feel good about all this. That and not having sold my old one yet.

plus 1 here for timbrens as an easy and cost effective solution, especially if you want to stay stock ride height. i swap mine in and out when i plan to tow heavy. they take a max of 15-20 mins to change over and they work excellent with weight on. without weight the truck rides horrible so you must be willing to change them over as needed.

I am also in the same boat of looking for a SCrew towable toyhauler. It appears on the west coast there are Pacific Coachworks and Attitude toy haulers that are all fiberglass and light. Too bad I'm in the midwest.

Here is a spreadsheet that I have been putting together trying to find the right toy hauler. As of now it looks like the Salem 260RT and Jayco Octane SL 222 are in the lead.

That's a great spreadsheet! I had no idea there were so many options!

Add Front Bedroom Y/N, Built in Generator Y/N, Fuel Station Y/N and I'm totally stealing that.

For what it's worth, my current hang up is that mine isn't wide enough to fit the wider Maverick X3 R (at around 73" wide), and the wife wants to get one.
