Thank you gentlemen.

That seems like an awfully cheap way to improve your transmission cooling. Might have to do that.

I recall reading that you have to shorten one or both of the lines by a 1.5" is this correct? If so i will need to order one of those tubing flaring tools. Trans cooler is already ordered gets hot here in the Mojave desert.

It's a rubber hose, so no flaring tool needed.

So here's my factory trans cooler.....

zHQKcv2.jpg

And it's really that stupid easy as those two crappy clamps and then old one out/new one in? The dealer guy didn't want to change my trans fluid because he said it was a "sealed unit" and cost a bunch of money...

Maybe add in a couple of them high dollar worm clamps to really fix it up???

P.S. Maybe combine the bigger cooler with the larger trans pan? Does anyone have a part number for a good pan?

Yes, it is that easy. I have the B&M trans pan with their extended flex dip stick mounted near the firewall for easy fluid check and fill.

So does it need to go to a hose shop to be shortened and have the fitting re-crimped ? I guess I need to take a look for myself.

Look at the photo of my trans cooler(above). The hose is the one on the right side. It’s rubber and you’d just cut it with a knife or a pair of shop snips. Easy as pie, take no more than 5 minutes to do this swap.
