Firmware updates are now available for the AP3-FOR-005 part number Accessport for the 2017 - 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor. These updates include a newly added Tire Size Adjustment feature, a bug fix for the Auto Start/Stop functionality on a few specific Raptors, and revised Stage 2 Off The Shelf (OTS) Maps.
Tire Size Adjustment

You asked for it, we made it! You can now adjust the tire size directly on the Accessport. This allows the correct read out for Speedometer calculations. Note that if you have a different way of accomplishing this prior to this update, it should be re-adjusted with the Accessport. This can be done through the "Tune" > "Adjustments" > "Set Tire Size" > and then scrolling to the appropriate diameter tire size for your application and pressing the center button.

Auto Start/Stop Updates

The Auto Start/Stop feature had an issue on certain vehicles making the functionality inoperable. This bug was generally limited to 17 model year trucks. Updates are now included in ALL v102 OTS maps which corrects the issue on the affected vehicles.

V102 OTS Map Updates

Aside from the bug fix and new feature mentioned above, the Stage 2 OTS v102 maps include calibration changes. The previous version of the Stage 2 OTS map revision caused some vehicles to exhibit inconsistent boost characteristics in situations at high elevation (most commonly in extreme cold with <13psi barometric pressure). The appropriate tuning changes are now included to prevent these issues from occurring.

Updating Firmware

All of the above updates can be had at no additional cost through a simple firmware update. Once your Accessport Firmware is updated you can use the "Restore OTS Map" feature found in the "Tune" section. This will present the v102 maps. You can then go to "Tune" > "Change Map" > and select the appropriate v102 map for your application and you'll be up to date!

If you have any questions on these updates or how to obtain them, our customer service team is happy to help! Give us a call at 866-922-3059 or email [email protected] and we can walk you through the process.

is it possible to also get a Gear ratio variable to go with the tire size variable?

If not, no biggie. but it'd be a lot cooler if you did, man.

When is it gunna be compatible with the 2019?

MY 2019 support is our current top priority for the Ford platform. We're hoping to have something available late May/June.

I can certainly pass that request along to the team! Definitely see the appeal for such a feature, it will just depend on the complexity of making that possible.

@COBB Tuning or anyone else. When I loaded the 91 OST map it had my tire size at 33.6 as opposed to 34.4. I changed it and now using GPS to check, it shows the truck is going about 1.5 mph slower than what the speedo says. Anyone experience similar?

Called COBB today and they confirmed this. Measured my tires to be sure and the in fact measured 33.2 in diameter. Downloaded a new GPS app and it’s within 1 mph now.

I can't wait till I have to do the math to make my speedo correct with the 40s and a gear ratio change.

Between my experience with:

Downpipes - word to the wise, stainless doesn't give like mild steel. The downpipes hang too low and close to the skidplates. you hit the skid plate, you're hitting the downpipes too. since they are stainless and don't give, you'll be lucky ( like me) if the impact shears the studs. if you are unlucky, you'll crack the turbine housing.

Intake - ran it with the prefilter as directed. a cobb rep said that it had been tested and was good to go in the desert. I will firmly say that NO, it is not. It got caked. it made it longer than I thought it would before impeding airflow, but it is certainly not anywhere close to a Donaldson filter.

tuner weirdness- between the way it resets codes, the odd behavior when tire size is changed and the lack of transmission programming progress, it needs work.

And before anyone comes down my street, I shared my finding with the tire size strangeness. I called and gave feedback on the downpipes. I called twice to discuss the filter.

in all cases, the people who answered were polite but never did anything with the information, but no follow-ups were ever made by anyone there. ( and when I called no one seemed too terribly concerned or curious, even though I've purchased almost everything that they offer for raptors.

I've become a little shaky on my recommendations for the kit if you use your truck in the desert for real.

I am switching downpipes and intake in the next couple of weeks. the tuner may come out too unless I have a custom tune done on their platform. I also may just swap the motor to a V8, but nothing is set in stone yet.
