This is a good thread. I’m liking the looks of the mid travel kit as well because my truck won’t ever be a dedicated off road only rig. I’d like to hear more about what mods are needed to make the MT kit work....I.e. body work and so forth.

If you go midtravel, you'll reuse the factory arm mounting points. If you go LT, You're cutting the coilbuckets out, cleaning the frame and welding on all new arm mounts. ( for like an extra inch of travel).

If you go midtravel, you'll skip most of the cutting, only have to weld some bypass mounts and some reservoir mounts.

you'll need fenders, bedsides and some new liners.

Outside of that, bigger tires and a set of balls to send it , is all youll really need ( that doesnt come with the kits)

have em check the full droop clearance between the DS coilover and the axle shaft.

I've been banging my head against the wall, trying to figure out how I was getting the slightest of rubbing at full droop. ( Barely enough to take the paint off the axle shaft).

Took it all apart tonight. wouldn't you know... the ******* misalignment spacers aren't identical after all! one is literally 3/16" longer and just so slightly prevents the rubbing. ( I didn't install it the last time).

So, I’m addition to the $13K price tag of the MT kit, I’m also looking at around $4K in body panels plus paying a body shop to mount it all and paint the truck...

Maybe two years out instead of one...

only $4K if you go full retard like me and do Carbon Fiber.

The nicer panels don't really require major fitting skills unless you're super ****.

it just depends on how perfect it needs to be for you.

Well, I’ve proven myself very capable of going full retard on many occasions. Looks like I’ve got more research to do. Body panels....

600 for front glass and 1600 on high side to paint front. Rear bedsides aren’t a necessity
