Tailgate not dropping with remote

Worked fine at dealership a few weeks ago, but then stopped working. Thought it might have been colder temps but it’s been warming up. Has factory bed liner and tonneau cover. Anyone else experienced this recently?

What happens when you move the cover out of the way so it's not touching the gate?

Sometimes mine hangs up on the bed cover. Might need a slight adjustment

Mine used to hang on my 502a lariat due to the bed liner being sprayed a bit too thick.

Only happens when the truck is at an angle not allowing the tail gate to fall properly

I think it's normal.

Mine did this after I installed the tonneau cover (MX4). I adjusted the cover to reduce the overlap until the tailgate would release without any manual pressure.

There is less weather sealing making contact with the tailgate, but I also don't need to pull the tailgate open. So far, water intrusion hasn't been a major issue.
