This happened to me today at a stop light. Put it in neutral and it started right up. I have a 13 Roush Raptor.

Just happened tonight. 2014 raptor with a Whipple. Oil level is perfect but granted I was gunning it up quite the angle in the snow (35 degrees) just sucks that the engine cut off! Had to restart it, by nailing the brakes and turning the key off then back on.

Shame shame shame! Happened to me twice one two months. Once in my driveway and the other in stand still Houston traffic! I literally just got the truck back a few hrs ago after they replaced my transfer case. My fuse 27 is in good shape but I guess I can go ahead and replace it?

This may have been posted in this thread earlier, but I’m not looking. I have one FACT to add to this for everyone who happens to read it and are f*cking stupid.

The oil pressure light is ON anytime the ignition is on and the engine not running. It is on before the engine I’d started and will come on again if the engine stops for ANY reason and the ignition remains on.

The ONLY time the oil pressure warning light is a bad thing is if it comes ON and the engine is still RUNNING.

Please don’t try to associate the oil pressure warning light coming on to some other problem. It makes you look STUPID. Anyone who has the slightest clue about engine operation knows how every dam* car engine in the f*cking world illuminates the oil pressure warning light.

Yup, me too. My 2011 SCREW almost killed my wife and I last night. Seriously. So, we drove from SW Missouri home to Grand Rapids this weekend to pick up a Jeep Wrangler YJ we were storing there and pull it back home on a Uhaul car trailer. All was well on our way home until we got into the fugly ice/snow event south of Rolla, MO at around 9PM last night. If you have ever been on this stretch of Hwy 44, it's hilly, minimal shoulder and 99% 18-wheelers balling along at 70-75. So WE slow to 40 due to worsening conditions...trucks in the ditch-check, rollovers off the highway-check, ballers still whizzing by- check, I am in 4-high and going up one of the many hills truck gives the WRENCH warning, tach goes to 0 and oil pressure goes to 0, truck dies. WHOLEY $h!T Sherlock!!! Trucks running up our 6, dodging us as we coast onto the shoulder. God was certainly on our side as we were bound to become a statistic. Fortunately, we got pulled over and got it restarted and decided that if it would run, we would head for the nearest exit and call a tow....never mind we would need 2 tow trucks.... Well, long story short, seemed to run better in Manual shift mode since the engine didn't seem to like a load and intermittently stalled going up hills. Road was much better and truck decided to behave around Springfield so we proceeded and arrived home. Taking truck to Ford dealer and hoping it's just the fuse (we are still under Premium Care), but DAYAM - FORD, why wasn't this recalled? No excuse. I am a loyal Ford owner and have loved the truck, have owned many, should I rethink? Will repost when fixed to confirm if this is was the issue. Pitiful.

Let us know what they say. It’s a hit or miss on my truck. Thinking about trading it in, but I know I’ll regret it

Trust me I had this happen in it is a 100% the fuse. It may look good and it may have not blown the fuse but that is the problem.9326d675c6ef539ebfa73d1c77578a83.jpg348b0a75735ef20d2658e04e8fd2604c.jpg

I checked it and even though it looked good and tested positive, I still replaced it.

Yup, this was the issue. Truck looked pitiful on the back of the flatbed tow truck, but it was just too dangerous to drive to the shop. Was absolutely the fuel pump fuse. I can only imagine that when the fuel pump demands more, like going up a hill, or when you tromp on it, it clearly tries to pull more through the fuse than it's designed for but not enough to totally fail the fuse. I called and ******* at Ford for what I judge to be a "recall-worthy" design flaw, and one that could have been a total disaster and life-threatening had our driving conditions been just ever so slightly different...in fact, just a few hours earlier and we would have been sailing in the middle lane on I80 through Chicago, at speed, flanked by another 12-dozen 18 wheelers. Bad place for engine to die...

My suggestion, if not done already, get the kit, do proactively.

Update. Just let me say that Ford has totally stepped up. My out of pocket was $0. This was the second time Ford has supported their product in an exemplary fashion and maintained the trust. Should it have happened in the first place? No. Did they make it right? Yes.
