Brother, I’ve lived your frustration twice now in the past three months. Break-in from rear right and then drivers side windows. No attempts to breach the door locks. Thieves are looking for guns and other valuables. If you own an impressive truck like the Raptor you’re a target! I’m glad to know the console safe held up, I’m ordering one today. Keep the faith!

Good info in this thread, unfortunate circumstances though. I did Jimmi Jammers on my Gen1 recently and don't feel so bad about working on an ignition/fuel pump circuit interrupt. I'm always paranoid going to Albuquerque and for good reason, they surpassed El Paso in car thefts.

I need a Truck Monkey.

If you have power out there, and if you can get your wireless out there. Then this works for me.

Arlo Q Plus – Wired, 1080p HD Security Camera | Night vision, PoE/AC Adapter Powered, Indoor only, 2-Way Audio | Cloud Storage Included | Works with Alexa (VMC3040S) I also got the SD card for when the internet is down, as the camera will just record about 6 months of video on the SD card.

If no internet, you only have power, it works, just buy the SD card for storage.

If no power, and you can run a internet cable with plugs, you can run power and internet over the internet cable, just watch the length, I try to stay under 100 feet.

Camera has a app for your phone, or a PC. On the app you get to see the last 7 days of camera recording on the arlo cloud, anywhere in the world, and download the video of the perp, from there if needed.

When the cops show up, and you have video, thats all they want, and they will take action.

I'm of the opinion the perimeter security upgrade set on hair trigger is the best bet for dissuading would-be thieves. Also have the added benefit of teaching people not to touch other people's trucks. Although I've accidentally bumped into a car and set off the alarm before...

That's great for people with an '18+, I've got a 17 and that doesn't appear to be available for us.....

The problem with that is it ruins your interior.

CS or pepper spray now... that would be rather funny.
Or maybe a few thousand volts through the car-seat, would require significant safeguards against improper deployment, but so would the gas.

On the "perimeter security" device from FoMoCo...I cannot find a detailed description of what it actually does. Should I start a new thread?

My 19 802a without the tech package shows “all sensors” or “perimeter only” in the security selections screen.

Does this mean it already has the perimeter module? If so, how can I up the sensitivity? I rocked the truck back and forth pretty good and it didn’t set off the alarm.

Thanks

That setting is if you want the exterior (door locks) to be armed only or if you want that and the interior motion sensors. The interior motion sensors are those little things that look like microphones on your overhead console.
