Cool, thanks man.

Ben, That's not a bad idea either, i've wondered about doing that to the normal fans when they go on hover craft mode in the summer, they're so loud you have to turn the truck off at drive in's ect.....

I am talking about the OEM radiator fans getting the adjustment,
without those running, air does not pass all the way though unless your on the highway.

The HE fans will not blow the air through the AC condenser and the radiator.
The air bounces off the coolers, condenser and radiator and circles back around in front of the HE. Basically nullifying the HE fans.
You can try it your self, just turn the ignition on so the HE fans run and put your hand behind the radiator you will feel nothing.

I also have the HE fans on a up lifter switch, in cold weather months I leave them off.
This helps with the truck warming up and stops the salt and crap from getting suck in while driving behind other vehicles.

Also FYI, running the truck at 170-175 as apposed 195 degrees you will lose some mpg's.
The PCM will add timing and fuel because it can, which is a good thing if you like power. :)

Another good trick for helping with heat is cutting out the hood vents, there are quite a few posts about guys doing this mod.
You basically can double the opening on each vent.

What are the typical iat that you want it to stay under? I’ve never had a boosted street car, I know in my drag car I try to keep them under 155 at the top end of a run

Got my Ron Davis Radiator and new hoses in , as well as my Group 31 75 pound monster battery. Still have to finish heat exchanger and electric water pump. Heat cycling with good water and draining out before i put the coolant in. Ron Davis is way bigger than the leaking CBR i pulled out.

So what's the deal with upgrading to a Group 31 vs the stock Group 65 battery?

Another thing I noticed is the power curve is definitely different. NA the computer compensates and gives you more torque at part throttle, with the blower, you hit the same throttle, half or less, and it's not as responsive. Give it more pedal - there it is! :)

What specs did you go with? I’m building my package now with Nick from @JimIII@JDM Not sure who will do the install since my truck is in Seattle and I’m in Korea. Looking at mostly Las Vegas/Nevada driving after I return to the states. Getting the heat exchanger for sure and probably do the oil pump gears since I know how I drive.
