So I might be one of the only people on earth with a 2018 802A Raptor WITHOUT second-row heated seats.

If I wanted to add OEM second-row heated seats (not aftermarket), a couple of questions:
1. Is the heating pad/coil + wiring already there and just need to add a switch?
2. What parts would I need to add this?

Any thoughts or guidance would be great. I'm bummed this was a $125 option that I somehow overlooked.

OEM parts at a minimum:

A) The center console rear cover needs to be replaced.
B) The actual buttons for the seat heaters for the new rear cover.
C) Any wiring harness that needs to feed the new heater buttons.
D) Any wiring harness that needs to feed the rear seats.
E) The seat cushions or heating elements inside the rear seats.

You MIGHT get lucky if Ford has one cab harness that has those connections already installed. In that case you would drop C & D above.

Pull the center console rear cover off and inspect.
Lift up the rear seats/maybe the rear carpet and inspect.

I know about aftermarket covers, but I wanted something that was not a cover and looked/felt factory installed.

If anyone knows if the heating elements and wiring are indeed intact for non-heated seats, I would love to know before I start tearing up my backseat.

I can give you a 99.999% chance that you do not have the elements in the seats. You might have a 50% chance the main harness connection is there. History has shown Ford has a habit at some trim levels the harness is the same, you would just be missing the factory option.

I.E: Super Duty trucks at/above the Lariat trim level share one option harness connection (illuminated side steps) that is only used on the King Ranch trucks. So any Lariat, Platinum will have the main harness connection, just not the illuminated steps found only on King Ranch trucks.

For the rear seat area just flip them up, there may be a pass thru hole in the carpet.

Seeing how the upgrade only cost $125 from the factory I am willing to bet the harness is the same. I would pop open the center console rear panel and see if a connector is taped down in there. Then go to a pick-a-part and get you some seats, cover and buttons. Also may have to put an OEM relay and fuse in a probable unused relay slot. Have you tried calling the dealer to see what they say?

Hello everyone,

I have a 2018 802A SCREW in leadfoot. I am also one that did not order the rear heated seats or the ATV ramps. I figure anyone is lucky enough to ride in my backseat and didn’t need the luxury of a heated seat. I live in PA, so we do get snow.
