Looking at a Rupes 21 mark II polisher

I am going to buy a polisher and have semi locked in on the Rupes 21 Mark II bigfoot. can pick up a nice kit for $570.00 shipped. I am just a weekend warrior and have a gen1, gen 2 (sons) my work truck (16 Colorado) and the wifes explorer to take care of. I am a tool junkie and like to buy quality the first time so I know I could get by with a lesser polisher but don't want to regret not buying enough tool down the road. Has anyone used this or what do you use and recommend?

I still use the Flex 3401 and love it but I have heard great things about Rupes polishers also

Rupes are the best...look at the 15 Mark II if you only want one. It’s smaller size makes it more versatile and able to do more jobs. Now if you want a tool for every job..get the nano, the 75e and the 15 mark II.

I think your right the 15 probably would be better.

I love my LHR15 MKII. Don't do the LHR21. The LHR15 is more versatile.

Rupes makes arguably the best buffers on the market. I happen to own both the Flex 3401 and the Rupes 21. I prefer the Rupes 21 almost every single time. I have been professionally detailing for over 13 years. I say get the Rupes 21 Bigfoot and don't look back! It is a very easy buffer to learn to use and very hard to ruin paint with it. Also FYI, I highly recommend only using Rupes pads and polishes. Every other pad I have tried has had the foam and backing pad separate very early on because they can't handle the long action throw the buffer has.

I ended up getting the Rupes 15, Hopefully the learning curve is fairly fast. Looking to get my rig cleaned up and a ceramic coating on.

Nice choice. I suggest using quality pads like CarPro Gloss and LC Thin Pros pads.
