The thing is with used raptors most of them were abused “jump with” so it’s hard to find the solid one... anything used especially u don’t know how they were drove u gonna have expenses. U can buy gen 1 with low mileage but they are still expensive so add extra buck and buy gen 2. If u can’t then just buy a new truck less expensive. F-150 are very solid trucks

Sure disagree with that. There are tons more nice Gen 1's than not. Very big price difference between used Gen 1 than a new Gen 2. $45K vs $70K. Who would want to do that.

Change the batteries in your calculator. 2019 - 2014 = 5 years. Then, show me where one can drive a 2019 Gen 2 off of the dealers lots for 55K.

I'm predicting Gen 2's will not hold their value like the Gen1's after 5+ years

The cheapest gen 2 used I can find is 55-60k and gen 1 30-35k thats at least 25-30k difference which I don’t think is worth the upgrade. I could wait it out longer and save up more for the gen 2 but rather have a gen 1 and more money towards a down payment on house. I’m sure the gen 1 is more than capable and the older tech wouldn’t bother me

I have a 13 raptor and love it. I have recently test driven a ZR2, 18 raptor and dodge power wagon. I havnt driven the Tacoma but have researched them a lot. I drove a decked out power wagon with a sticker price of $53k. The dealer would have let it go for $48k. Im not a dodge fan boy but there was a lot of value in that truck. The new Raptor, ZR2, TRD Pro, all have premiums attached to them so your lucky to drive away around msrp. The dodge for some reason doesn't have a premium attached to it. Just food for thought.

I’m not saying gen was a bad truck. I love gen 1. When it came out it was my dream truck. V8 sound nothing can beat that.
But still paying 45K for a used abused truck it’s a lot for me. I better wait and spend extra and get brand new. I don’t wana have a car that some dirt bag was using before me
