Just checked my catch can. Oh my!

Well I decided to check how much oil was in my catch can. Wasn't really sure how many miles it had been since I put the can on but I only expected to find a small amount in the bottom. I was thinking it was in the 5k mile range. When I took the can off I was shocked that it was just about full. When I discovered that I pulled my paper out that I wrote the installation mileage on. It has been 6k miles.

I'm pretty shocked. I can't imagine what affect that water/oil has running back through the motor.CatchCan.JPG

I am in the same boat, didn't think I needed it, yet after looking at numerous photos, I decided it was a minimal expense and worthwhile

I got the JLT installed on my 2019. There are some figment issues with the new engine cover but it fits. There is another thread on here with some more info and pics.

Just more proof why most high performance forced induction vehicles have catch cans. I know all mine do for this very reason. Glad it is working as it should for you.
