I made a video and sound demonstration of my exhaust setup (see link). Just in case anyone is like myself and doesn't want to drop $1000 or more on a full cat-back.

This cost me $200. So far I'm 100% satisfied and FYI, I am picky. Very very picky with exhaust noise. I changed exhausts 3 times with my last truck. My goal is to hear a DEEP SMOOTH RUMBLE without any echoey tinny raspy drone invading sound as this is my truck that I take my family in to go camping with occasional offroading.

-Stock piping
-resonator in
-Switched muffler to MAGNAFLOW 12288 which is an 18" stainless steel straight through/ Y design (5X8")
-painted exhaust tips with graphite colored high temp paint to match bumper and fender flares.

I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. In my opinion, it sounds perfect. Not too loud, but definitely like my truck has a lil' somemin. Exactly what I wanted.

From what I can hear, it sounds a lot like stock. Maybe a bit louder at higher RPM. I'm a big Magnaflow fan though.

Yeah that sounds about right. Somewhere between a real cat-back and stock. I'm not claiming any power gains. We all know these trucks aren't the quickest 0-60 anyways, lol, but I really like the sound. It feels like a "tasteful" upgrade and now I can decide on the next mod. Does anyone like the paint color I chose for the exhaust tips?

Sorry about the sound. I tried..I don't think the deeper rumble at lower RPM is being captured at all.. I swear its there, lol

Without db meter readings, a video is not much use. Can't really tell if it is louder or not than stock.

for $200 im gonna try it out. its a good "gateway drug" to upgrading your exhaust and finding the sound you want.

Not terrible. Nowhere near as good a sound as the ecoboost, but acceptable. It’s not loud at all, which is what you want with the gen1.

stealth is good when you’re passing someone in front of or in proximity to revenuers. if they hear you and see you, they’re much more likely to force a non consensual encounter with you.
