Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum and was looking for a bit of advice so I wanted to reach out to some of you seasoned Raptor owners. Thank you in advance for your time and any help you can provide.

First and foremost, what are your thoughts on a used 2013 SVT Raptor with 71k miles @ about $36K? It's a terrain one without the graphics and comes with a Corsa Extreme Exhaust and Air Raid cold air intake. I'm preferably looking for a terrain one without graphics; and my idea was to put the Corsa Exhaust on, set at mid-perch, add a bed cover, add Open Country Toyo tires, and KMC Delta wheels. I also live on the Outer Banks of NC so conditions are harsh out here especially without a garage. I already know I'm going to undercoat the truck more than likely every 6 months to prevent rust, however the rain is just as bad because it's more or less salt water. When it's moist outside you get a salt film layer on your vehicle. Just a few questions:

1. Is that too many miles for a used 2013 Raptor?
2. Let's say the truck was taken care of well, any issues I may run into maintenance wise?
3. What other preventive measures should I take besides undercoating? Ceramic coating? Engine protection?

Thank you everyone for any help!!!

That many miles is not an issue. The 6.2 is a solid motor. Many guys on here with 2-3 times that many.
I'd check the rocker panels, as they could already have some rust you'd need to take care of. I'd be a little leery about anything with a so called "cold air intake" as they do not filter as well as stock, regardless of what the marketing says. Check the oil, pull the intake to inspect the throttle body, etc. for signs of any dirt getting into the motor. Does it use any oil?
As far as the under coating, ensure it is clean and no rust before you apply the coating. Fluid film may be a good preventative measure for you... Lots of us use it in snowy areas to prevent rust in the winter months. Good luck!

Price seems reasonable. Any maintenance records? Clean carfax?

PS. I'll be in Corolla next August, looking forward to it.

There was an accident reported to the front (functional damage reported) before it was sold to the first owner. It didn't show any photos when I pulled the report. Obviously fixed, but besides that no issues at all.....maintenance had been done on it on the regular. Corolla is actually where I live. It gets pretty crazy in the summer time.
