I am new to the board and am considering buying a MY19 Raptor. This board is a wealth of information!

I am really just curious to know how the availability of Raptors in the US has changed over the model years. Sorry for the slug of questions, but here goes:

I see that people are saying you can get MY18s below MSRP now, but was it like that with the MY17s when the MY18s came out last year?

Does anyone get the sense whether there are more MY19s being built than MY18s?

OR, has anyone heard from a dealer whether they are getting X% more allocations from Ford?

Not sure on the numbers, but it’s partly due to the fact the the truck has been out for a while now. So most people who wanted one already have one and aren’t fighting for them as they rolled off the assembly line nor as willing to pay markups.

Trackar, I'm not sure if you were following the market for one last year, but does it feel like its easier to get an MY18 now vs. trying to get an MY17 during the same time last year?

Year over year, raptor prod has increased. There was a post somewhere that showed this data. I will try to find it.

Was the same way with GT350 and Focus ST. Hot and NEW = more demand then supply.....so dealers had business case to ad the ADM fee to extend profits. Mostly because each dealer only had an allocation of 1 or 2 ......As supply caught up with demand....dealers everywhere had multiple trucks on the lot. ADM fees go away because those with lots of inventory cant afford to sit on them.

That usually happens around 12 months into a new generation.

If you could find it, that would be awesome. I was trying to search through the boards - but I couldn't locate anything.

There were 24k 2017s made in aprox 10months. I never saw 2018 numbers, but that model year lasted 14+months, so we should easily have more than 50k 17&18 raptors running around.

Production numbers aside, yes but from my experience it was because the trucks were usually accounted for long before they got to the dealer so they never sat around on the lot for sale. The market is also weird here in NorCal, we still have dealers asking 20-25k over sticker for a ‘18 so my experience may not be the most accurate. You’ll be dam lucky to get one at sticker and forget about anything under.

I just checked. The dealer where I bought mine 2 weeks ago, has 11, 2018's on the lot. From $50k to $73K MSRP. Most have -$2,500 discount being advertised.

Kalifornia can drop off the map as far as i am concerned.

Thanks man. It will be interesting to hear how much more of an allocation your typical dealer got to try and triangulate how many more MY19s were made.
