Wait for 19 or just buy 18 leftover?

I'm not buying that one with all the extra options. I'm buying the one optioned exactly like I'm wanting. Stickers for $69,165, paying $66,415. The other one they have on the lot is priced under MSRP for someone looking for a loaded out blue one with orange interior.

that's great then! hope you get the deal done!

Well, looks like I'm an owner of 2018 Magnetic Raptor. Ended up getting $2,755 under sticker. I'm pretty happy with that. I'll be taking it to work, and getting it muddy on Monday. haha!

That sucks you had so much trouble with your diesel. I've got 63,000 miles on my 2015 F250 and it's been deleted and tuned since about 2,000 miles. I haven't had any issues other than a starter getting replaced under warranty.

I agree that driving over speed bumps without spilling your coffee is a bit of a lofty claim, but general driving around town they sure are nice. My buddy airs out his F350 dually over a set of railroad tracks near his house that has most cars and trucks coming to almost a complete stop to go over without rattling their teeth out. He goes flying over them at 50-60MPH and it really does feel about like a Raptor.

I drove a 2018 Raptor yesterday, but wasn't able to give it much of a test since the seat belt recall limited our drive to only around 3-4 miles. It was nice and quiet, and the ride was pretty smooth, but we didn't go over any truly rough roads or highway joints. When I got on it hard, it went fairly quick, but definitely not the kick in the pants my diesel gives. I think that is what I would miss the most. The passing power of the diesel is just so hard to give up!

Cool on your truck being trouble free. Yeah my F250 has had 2 water pumps replaced, engine, heater cool and egr issue all under warranty, so yeah not the most reliable also fuel sensor went bad on under hood fuel filter so plugged it off and now have the new part but haven't put it on. Ford had them on back order. It's all good I'm a Ford guy and will still buy a Raptor and give it a try.

Nice on your buddies F350. Yeah some hits you don't feel and others I do.

I'll have to drive an 18 Raptor on a longer test drive but your probably right about the pickup but maybe a little tune will help with that. Good luck with what you decide to do.

Congrats. You don’t mind spilling the beans on where you got it?

Freedom Ford Lincoln Mercury in Wise, Va. Small hometown dealership. They had 4 Raptors between the three lots they own. As of right now I'm not sure if they have any left. It was a Lightning Blue with Orange Interior, pretty much every option available, has all the stickers. MSRP was close to $74k. At the time they had it priced $2,500 under sticker, but I'm pretty sure it sold as well. I thought I heard him say that I had bought their last 2018. One of the 4 was going to Alaska, which I thought was pretty cool. It was an awesome dealership to deal with. Straight up, no BS. Which I knew all the numbers anyways, and they ended up giving me $2,500 more for my trade than I was expecting, so I came out of there smiling ear to ear, haha.

Damn that’s good to hear there’s some decent dealerships out there. VA is too far for me to save $2.5k, i hope it sold so I don’t get tempted.

Congrats again and thanks for the story share.

Here is a link to it. It still shows online, but they may have not updated their website yet.

Forgot to mention, they do have a $499 "processing" fee. Oddly enough, that's one of the lowest fee's I've been able to find. That's on any vehicle, so I knew that going into the deal.

There is another local dealer that heavily advertised "No dealer doc fee's" but they are clearly making up the difference in the price of their vehicles, and on the trade values. They haven't been able to get close to other dealers, and for me its always been cheaper to take the processing fee and get a better deal at the end of the day.
