I have a 17' 802A without the tech package. It does have the 360° cameras and Bliss. I had 17' Lariat that had the auto dimming high beams and kind of miss it. I see on the forscan spreadsheet an option for Auto HeadHigh Beam (AHB) control under IPC-new to enable. Is it as simple as just enabling it with forscan? I thought I read somewhere where the camera in the rearview mirror was the sensor for this feature. Just curious if it is that simple or even a possibility.

I enabled it through Forscan and it didn't work. Changed IPC 720-01-01 **** xxxx xxxx. From B to F. It showed up on settings, but it was greyed out and I couldn't select Ok to turn on.

User LivnitUp from f150forums. Stated 'You need the IPMA camera in the rear view mirror for AHB to work.'

I believe what he has to say when it comes to Forscan stuff.

Interesting, I have the AHB on my 2016 KR and had thought it worked using the camera in the windshield underneath the Rear view mirror housing...as it looks forward into oncoming headlights and taillights as you approach from the rear? Same camera that the Lane Keep Assist uses to see the lane markings...

Auto High Beams are only part of the Technology Package.

Per the Ford site:

Raptor Technology Package Includes:
• Lane-Keeping System
• Lane Departure Warning
• Auto High Beam
• Rain-Sensing Wipers
• Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Mitigation

I never use my auto high beams. I found it to be kind of annoying.

I agree they are annoying, I live in the mountains and it is not very good at
Switching them back and forth in the corners for oncoming traffic.

Interesting. I find just the opposite, they’re generally pretty effective for me. I especially like them when it’s a mostly deserted road and I’m using my aux lights relayed to high beams.
