I just finished the exhaust set up and tune on mine this week. Went with the AFE downpipes, high flow cats, Corpa Xpipe, Cora’s Extreme cat back. With the tune there is a noticeable difference in acceleration and response. We haven’t dyno’d since we still have more work to do on the turbos and intercooler set up. Once it stops raining here in Houston is will get some vids of it. I can say that at idle and low throttle it has a very nice deep growl. Wide open, holy shit it is loud. Sounds like a full out race car, or at least just like my Porsche race cars.

Appreciate you sharing.

It doesn’t sound bad, but it’s very raspy and for me it would be too loud as a family friendly driver... and my truck isn’t even a daily driver. It’s Just one of my toys. But I think that would frighten pets and small children!

It’s a sobering reminder to me though why I haven’t done down pipes. It’s just too much for what I do with my truck.

If you study hard in school young man, you too can be successful one day.

Just don’t choose a college major that has a low return on your investment. I recommend finance.

Hedge funds and commodities.

You, too, can have a nice truck one day.

Mine is a daily driver, and it is loud now. We will be sound deadining the entire interior so it won’t be as loud. One other thing is the windows were slightly down in the vid so you can hear the pop in the exhaust note. It isn’t that bad with the windows up, but still loud.

Yes it does seem to turn heads and scare people when WOT. My wife just shakes her head but my boys love it.

I’m not gonna lie.

I’d like it. But if I did it.... the neighborhood would boycott me and no one would want to drive in it but me.

As it is... cold starts get the evil eye.

I think it’s a perception/expectation thing.
You just don’t necessarily expect a truck to sound like a race car.... so it’s almost paradoxical.

Cold start a lotus Evora with the exhaust valves open and that “sounds cool”. Even though it’s raspy and loud as heck...

I personally think the ecoboost sounds pretty good.

I agree with you here. Not the normal sound you would expect from a truck but it kinda grows on you. Was very hesitant but now I like it.

I can relate on the cold start up, wife drives a Maserati QP and it is very loud when cold starting and waiting to warm up. She did comment when she heard my truck start up that I was trying to be like hers. Lol

BTW, love the Evora. I have seen a few on the track in the UK and was impressed with them. I may at some point build one as a track car. Very well built cars.
