ok - the purchase thread is getting overrun - would like this thread to be about feedback - whether you're 2017/2018, experiences with install, performance, problems, etc...

burnout pics welcome

I'm getting mine installed at Whipple next week so expect my feedback soon!

just a refresher:

The F150 and Raptor stage 1 systems couples the Whipple Mega Cooler, roto molded high velocity cold air intake and industry leading custom calibration to make an amazing 150* foot pounds of torque and 70* horsepower more than stock. Even better, at 3500rpm, the system produces over 180 foot pounds of torque over stock giving more power under the curve for incredible throttle response.

Toadster you’ve gotten a lot of business for Whipple and have raised quite a bit of awareness about their tune.

In the interest of full disclosure, did you receive your stage 1 package at a discounted rate beyond the group buy? Was it provided for free for your help in promoting it? Are they doing your install at a discount or for free? Do you or your family work for them or are you affiliated with them in any way?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I have installed the tune + intake about a week ago, and today the truck is at the shop getting the intercooler installed along with 37" Baja TA projects.

I have to say, the tune is amazing. It really wakes the truck up. The throttle response is perfect, the transmission shifts and acts better than stock, and there's a lot of usable torque increase below 3500 RPMs to make the truck drive much better.

Up top, there's a big difference how it pulls to redline.. before the truck felt "flat" accelerating to redline- now there is a noticeable pull until the shift happens.

Totally worth the money, and that feedback is WITHOUT the Whipple intercooler installed!

I wont be able to give a fair review after the IC is installed because I am doing 37's at the same time though.. but just the intake and tune made a big difference for me.

It is awesome. The transmission tuneing alone was worth it. My truck used to pause and buck between 3&4 and 4&5. This is my first automatic truck and I hated it. This fully corrected the problem and it is so much nicer to drive.

It also makes noticeably more power and I don’t have to touch a thing when I hook up my trailer.

I am very happy with the purchase.

I love mine but I am still figuring out my missfire issue, going to swap out plugs tomorrow to see if that helps. I had a guy in a 2016 Mustang GT pull up next to me and rev, not sure he was expecting what he got when I nailed it. Lol

Truck is a blast with the Whipple Kit.

Replace the plugs with one step colder plugs, Motorcraft SP542s and gap to .025

My truck runs amazing and smooth with these plugs. They are at your local Ford dealer.

no affiliation, I get the install next week - I'm driving down with my son - I just like putting this kind of stuff together :)

hopefully they'll cut me a break on install :)

Loving mine. Everyday driving is much more enjoyable, great shifts and throttle response. BTW Is it normal to have a bit of oil in the old intercooler. Found about a spoonful of oil pooled in the hoses that connected to the stock cooler when I did the install.
