Starting it out with a pic of how the truck currently sits. I'll backtrack to the build below.

Stage 1


Started with around 400 miles on the ticker


SVC Coil Adjustment System (CAS)

KO2's have been a great all around tire. Might get a set of projects in addition down the road.

Obligatory Methods but a great looking wheel.

Stage 2

I'm really liking the look of this bumper. In my opinion, it’s truly the first bolt on bumper I’ve seen that truly represents a clean prerunner style bumper. It's super strong and the lines of it just work on these trucks. Plenty of air flow to the IC through the mesh cutouts.

Vision X XPR is bright and priced right. Good company and can't go wrong at the price point.

ABS is a quality built piece. Full range of adjustability through the bump can and you can cycle your setup to achieve a wide range of up travel settings.

Anyone that's had Deaver's know they're a necessary mod. They ride so much smoother on and offroad, it's undeniable. Deavers's been in business probably longer than any off-road company and there's a reason why they're in a league of their own in the leaf spring industry.




Stage 3

@svc absolutely killed it on this bumper. The fit is incredible and holds true to the fitment pedigree SVC has been known for over the years. This is not an easy bumper to fabricate given the contours of the valance on the Gen 2 but they hit a home run with it. We took an existing intercooler replacement core that's on the market and custom fit it to work on the truck. SVC is currently in the R&D phase with another company to produce an Intercooler Kit that should provide solid performance gains in addition to the relocation behind the grill. Hopefully this will be readily available in the coming months and I will be able to test and report back on it.

The Kings only have about 50 road miles on them as of now. They ride extremely smooth on the road given their true performance will shine in an offroad environment. I will certainly be reporting back once I have time to put some desert miles on them. Easy install.... bolts right in place and they look absolutely badass. We were able to tuck the reservoirs up nicely as opposed to some of the other frame cut bumpers on the market with guys running aftermarket shocks.

I changed out bumpstops on the SVC ABS bumpkit with 2.5" King Bumps with the "shorty" 2.5" stroke. We charged them to 50 PSI so we'll see how that goes and adjust if need be. The beauty of this bumpkit lies not only with the adjustability but also the fact that you can swap bumps in a matter of minutes. You're not married to a Fox, King, #whatareicons, 2" or 2.5".... This is the only kit available on the market that has this kind of flexibility. If you're looking for a bumpkit, this one is a no brainer.

Why did I change Bumps some might wonder? Well I wanted to stay brand consistent with Kings and I obviously upped it to a 2.5" bump this time around. The Fox 2.0 IFP worked incredible with the setup I ran at the time and the IFP design is great. These King 2.5" bumps are proven and I have no doubts they'll perform just as good if not better once I get the truck out into some larger terrain. The KING shocks will definitely allow for some higher speed runs through the rough.

I can't wait to get out to the desert and push this truck now. The increased approach angle from the SVC bumper will be a lot less restricting through larger terrain and once I tune the KINGS to my preference, I have no doubts that the performance gains will be nothing short of awesome.

A very respected man on FRF said Multiple times 2.5" bumps is the only way to go. Ill see if I can dig up the convo. :mwah1:

Looks awesome though!

At least they're Fox's :crazy:


Edit...

I will add that the internal floating piston IFP design has changed the game in the bump world but I'd prefer not to revisit Bumpgate all over again. Not in this thread at least.

I figured this was coming. :tizzle:

So, do 37's fit with no trimming?

Looks like the front bumper line is straight across the bottom of the grill, where as the Gen 2 has a step in that line. How is the fit? Is there a valence support? Got a picture looking down at it?

Looking good bud, can't wait to see you cut the bed!

Let's do it! No excuses this year lol

I'm hitting Barstow this weekend and will get some footage of the rear end working. Pretty excited about the IFP design on the bump. It should keep the initial impact soft enough to keep the rear from the fabled donkey kick but will ramp up pressure as the bump travels further through the stroke.

Thanks, really happy how the truck is turning out so far.

That top tube is straight across and fits really flush at all points of the valance with the help of the dimpled top plate. SVC pretty much designed the best looking and fitting bolt on bumper I've seen yet... gen 1 or 2.

Stay tuned for their frame cut bumper that should be released really soon. It's going to follow the contours of the lower valance perfectly. Essentially it'll be a similar fit to the ADD Pro but with some nice aesthetic improvements. ADD essentially tried to copy SVC's CAD design.

I'm definitely down. My truck should be able to handle a bit more than last time (when it almost came apart on the freeway :rofl:)

Maybe late this month or early next sound good?
