Hi everybody,

Thinking of doing Methods for my Gen2. From what I have heard, the 0 offset rubs, so many use a 1.5" RPG collar.

I am hesitant to go with the RPG collar for two reasons, please let me know if my concerns are warrantless.

1) Back in the day, I put a 2" leveling kit on an older F150 Lariat. The leveling kit caused all types of wear and tear problems (i.e. ball bearings had to be replaced frequently, control arm problems, etc.) I understand the leveling kit is quite different from the RPG collar since the leveling kit is placed directly on top of the strut. Does anyone else have this concern or does anyone have negative experiences with the RPG collars?

2) I am worried the the RPG collar is going to in affect the ride of the truck. I really enjoy the way it rides now, so I am concerned that it will negatively impact it.

Any insight is appreciated!

Please let me clarify.

"Leveling kit" is typically a coil bucket spacer... BAD BAD BAD

Our Spring Perch Collar Kits increase the Coil Spring Preload. We DO NOT add a spacer to the top of the shock which results in MANY, MANY issues.

That is great news! Are you aware if the collar voids any warranties on the truck? If not I can reach out to my dealership.
