I've had issues with SCT and Sean Hyland Motorsports (SHM) in the past. I would never do business with SHM agian. I would hate to buy another SCT product, but it makes it difficult to avoid SCT when alot of good tuners use SCT as the hardware. For the last few years I've been tuning my newer stangs with this companys product http://www.deltaforcetuning.com/ . I've been pretty happy with them, never having any hardware/software problems. I don't think they have any software for Ford's latest PCM's though (yet).

I don't know if I would tune my truck anytime soon. I'm pretty happy with the way the 6.2 runs. The trans shifting is a little funky and turning off all the ******** nannys over and over gets old, but I feel there are other areas of the truck I would like to attack first (like add deavers to the rear and more lights). If Ford comes out with custom cams and a tuner package this winter/spring like rumored, then I will probably be doing that sooner than later. The bigger/louder sounding lope at idle sells me on that alone.

As for warranty, tuners void the warranty on items damaged by the tuner. It's covered in the Warranty Guide on page 13 that comes in the packet with your owners manual. It makes all the difference in the world to know and play friends with your dealer as they are the "eyes and ears" for the manufacture for stuff like this. The tech can simply look the other way when fixing something damaged by aftermarket parts/tuners and Ford would never argue, or they could raise a red flag and Ford may try to terminate your powertrain warranty.

Does anyone know if Birdman got his money back from JDM?
