Backstory:
So I placed an order for a set of method nv wheels back on November 1st, I was informed there was a 4-6 week wait for a back order. Since I couldn't find another wheel that I really liked I decided to wait it out. Well today I come to find out its going to be a minimum of another 5 weeks with no guaranty to be shipped after that wait.

So now I am trying to find a wheel that looks good and can survive a ND winter. I had fuels on my last truck and they held up great. While I had that truck I always wanted or rather wished I had gone with BMF/SOTA wheels. Has anyone that has run them had issues with the finish on the death metal?

I say the Trophys IMO. Also check out American Eagle 012. They make a Raptor specific version that is hub centric. Im kinda leaning towards these.

Wish they came in an 18" version

Oh. Well, I'm sure that Method has 17's. Is there a reason for the 18's or just because you like the looks better?

Really the only reason to step up to an 18 is the get the larger Duratrac tire. I know I will limit myself on tires in the future.

More rubber = smoother ride. You gonna do any off roading?

I am from ND so I drive quite a bit of gravel roads. In the winter if the city is lazy and doesn't get the roads plowed soon enough the roads in town are worse than driving in the ditch. So short answer would be yes lol.

If it was me, and obviously it isn't in this instance, I would go with the 17's. I've had 17's on my truck since I got it, and haven't ever had a flat tire. Aired down a lot when off road. Climbed all over the mountains in Colorado. Blasted though the snow in Michigan. I was alway glad to have that extra rubber to keep from worrying about the tires. Plus, tires are easy to buy in that size and and cheaper, too. Just my $.02.....
