So what is a HPA Air System?

HPA stands for "High Pressure Air". This is NOT just a compressed air tank or a Co2 tank.

HPA Systems are made with cylinders utilizing some of the
safest designs available anywhere. While other systems use just aluminum cylinders, our aluminum
cylinders are wrapped in carbon fibers for maximum strength and then fiberglass fibers for superior
toughness.

Ok so How do you fill it?

Give us some specks maybe like the Powertank site does. i.e. number of tires it can fill from lets say 15psi to 44psi or how long can it run a 1/2 impact at 90psi.

Good questions!

We suggest finding a local fill station prior to purchasing an HPA unit. Many paintball shops, sporting
good stores, SCUBA shops & Fire Stations can fill HPA systems. A good database on the web to assist in
your search can be found here:

Find a Fill Station

If you find a station, please consider adding it to the database for others to reference as well. If you are
having difficulties finding a fill station, please let us know and we will assist in any way possible.

As far as actual performance specs, we do not have the "official" number tables as of right now, but will be available soon.

With that said, unofficially, the test unit has seen 4 tire refills from 10-15 psi to 45psi and had approximately 1000psi left from full. Run time for air tools is tricky as there are many factors, running psi, tool CFM, etc... We will have some examples soon. The 6.8L tank is most closely comparable to a 10lb Co2 tank.

I don't see anything protecting the valve (or top), like you see with C02 tanks. What would happen if the top breaks (looks longer than average). Will it become a flying missile? Or is there safety measures with this design to prevent that?

Cool link, unfortunately each place is an hour from me. :-(

Also, can you use this sideways or does it need to be upright like CO2? I assume if you use Nitrogen, it would?

@RDFTS look for a paintball shop or scuba shop near you. I don't think all places are listed. I think there is a scuba shop close to me that is not on the list also a paint ball place.

I also think the cost may be less compared to Powertank

I would suggest giving your local scuba dive shop a call. Most of them can fill paintball tanks.

I know there are a number of dive shops in SE Michigan and Google says there are a few in SW Missouri.

Ha. WG beat me too it.
