I use a 3 ton floor jack under the rear differential, a whole other topic on its own, place jack stands under the rear axle and then move the floor jack to the frame rail indicator arrows behind each front tire. I have heard so many different opinions about rear diff jacking it made my head spin; I ensure to stay cleay of the diff cover plate and use a 4x4 wooden block to protect the finish (rust) of my diff housing; its the only way short of a lift to get two jack stands as far apart in the rear as possible in order to remove both rear tires for a rotation. If this is a big no no, I’m all ears!
