Ok guys heres an update. I went by to pick up some motor craft synthetic oil and a filter today to do my first oil change. Talked with my buddy, "service director." He said he has talked to the regional guy and district guy from ford on this. Of course they are aware of it. Higher ups at ford are aware as well. The reps told him that all of the 2014's are affected. I asked are they going to do a recall, he said maybe but he didn't know. Ford isn't saying anything except that they are aware of it. I told him to tell the ford people to change it back to how it used to be. My 2011 raptor didn't have this problem. He said back that the explorer used to have a problem like this and the fix was a piece in the intake that has some fins on it. It disrupted the air so it wouldn't make the sound. Problem with that fix is it will cause our raptors to loose horsepower and they don't want that to happen. Thats all ford says. They aren't saying they have a fix, will have a fix or anything. If we want this fixed were going to have to call Ford and raise heck I am afraid. We all need to band together to get this problem resolved. Am I thinking right guys? That loud squeal is aggravating as heck and I hate hearing it as I drive with my windows down. Makes me think a pulls is falling apart.
