They were a pia to get out but my trick to them is remove the bulb holder itself by disconnecting the hardshell, then Take a 90 degree pick and go in through the hole at the bottom of each bulb housing and wiggle. They pop right out with zero to no effort. After spending 10 minutes with pliers and rubberized gloves as a barrier to the pliers I realized this and they were out in no time.
