Is there any tricks of the trade per say to free up the bottom two knobs (comp1 and comp2) safely? I was able to turn the top (rebound) with no issues other than being a little gritty. But the bottom two on both the driver and passenger will not turn. I tried removing the set screw to remove the knobs but they won't loosen either.

Help?

Are they really dirty? Maybe a pair of vice grips?

Didn't work, even with a rag over the knob, the vice grips took some of the black off, will probably replace or repaint. I will end up having to drill out the set screw. I ended up getting one off the bottom but the other 3, forget it. Moving forward, I highly recommend packing the knobs full of waterproof grease. I heard them locking up like this is very common. Personally this is a design flaw but other than that, the shocks are great.
