For me its the check valve. The part I gave you has hoses and all. Some just replace the check valve with a YG360, which while not the same does the job. Some even do two in a row. Regardless I ordered the part i listed, which may have been revised. The number underneath the part number was different than the one I pulled off. With shipping I paid $15 from Tasca. Shipping was more than the part. I regret not ordering a couple more just in case. Obviously its not the best design as you can see from the internet. Anyway, my time is worth more than $15 bucks, so I'll skip the dealer on this one. Since I replaced it nothing. I have almost 7k miles now but i heard it with 2k or so on the truck and intermittently since, more so when it rained. I knew it would never do it for a dealer. Also when you pull it out you can check it easy enough. I just tried to blow in and out like a straw. It should only work one way, but when I first pulled mine i worked both. You can drive in 4A too and you'll never heard it since the hubs are engaged but spinning free.
