Purchased GEN 2, build early NOV 2017, delivery late NOV 2017. Normal shifts I would expect for a truck this size and w/ 10 gears when purchased. A bit harder in sport mode, again, as expected. Currently 15k miles. No off road. Minimal towing well below spec. Recently noticed that when accelerating when in 10th gear at around 75ish, the shift from 10 to 8 would be quite hard...delayed almost. Other shifts were good. Noticed an occasional hard downshift when slowing but not as dramatic. Took it into the dealership - Sames From Kingsville TX. They were able to reproduce the problem and contacted hotline. They were instructed to do the following: "REMOVE THE MAIN CONTROL VALVE BODY AND DISASSEMBLE AND INSPECT FOR SCORES ON THE VALVE OR BORES, AND CHECK FOR STICKING OR BINDING VALVES." They did the following: "DRAINED FLUID, REMOVED PAN AND REMOVED THE VALVE BODY AND DISASSEMBLE AND INSPECT, FOUND SCORING IN THE BORE FOR THE SSC VALVE AND FOUND ONE OF THE VALVES SLIGHTLY BINDING UP. REASSEMBLE VALVE BODYU AND REPLACED THE MAIN CONTROL VALVE BODY. INSTALL THE PAN AND REFILL WITH UVL FLUID. PROGRAMMED THE NEW CONTROL UNIT ID AND STRATEGY NUMBERS INTO THE TCM AND ROAD TEST TO VERIFY REPAIR." Just picked up my truck and it runs like new. I was amazed that at 15k miles, this issue slowly crept up on me and although the 10 to 8 shift was the hardest, i now realize the others shifts were not entirely perfect. Only driven for 30 miles since pickup but i'm beyond pleased that they identified and remedied what i consider to have been a challenging issue. Hope this helps someone. steve
